Without a visit to
Bed & Bone, it’s hard to describe the set-up in a way that adequately explains
our house and grounds.
Our Grounds:
The Bed & Bone house is located in a beautiful country setting
on the Crow River. The grounds are filed with lovingly-cared for trees, flowers, and plants. We get into the spirit and
decorate for each holiday. There are llamas, a goat, a deer, rabbits, birds, and cats who make a home on our property.
It is truly a fun, relaxing, and cozy retreat. Madree Mutsch, the owner of Bed & Bone, lives onsite in a nearby home,
and is always available if needs arise.

Our rooms: We do not cage dogs. All rooms contain
couches, chairs, pillows, TV, and a dog door that leads into its own large, fenced in area. Dogs are free to go in and out
throughout the day, so they can play, lounge, go to the bathroom, and take naps according to their own schedules.
The six Bed & Bone rooms are set up as follows:
- Tater Tot Room: For dogs less than 20 pounds
- Mini-Party Room: For dogs between 20 and 40 pounds
- Couch Potato Room: For some newcomers, submissive, and shy dogs
- Elderhostel: For older dogs, dogs with medical conditions, and dogs
with limited mobility
- Party Room: For medium to large size dogs that like to play
- Wild Ones Room: For medium to large dogs aged 6 months to 2 years
(future Party Dogs!)

How we choose your dog’s room:
Upon
arrival, a Bed & Bone staff member spends a few hours with your dog. Once we’ve decided what room best fits their
personality we do a test run and accompany your dog into the chosen room. When it appears all is well, we leave your dog to
roam with new friends. We always supervise the dogs.
*Our
staff is trained in dealing with all types of dogs. They all receive information on behavior, medical needs, and other
facts about your dog. On occasion, a dog has trouble adjusting, experiences behavioral issues, or doesn’t fit in. If
this happens, we have an area where a dog can spend apart from other dogs.
